What a beautiful view
looking at the St.Joseph River
right from her living room! |

July 15, 2003
Jim Neuman
came to take a look at the motor home.
While there, Sandy came by and in her excitement forgot to put her van
in park......
while we were talking, it took off & headed for the lake, oh no!
.
Thankfully, a tree stopped it from going right into the
lake and....
luckily, Jim had a tow rope and a truck to pull it back up to safety.
Below right Sandy is saying "Thank you God for saving
my van"!

July 18 - 26, 2003
Holiday Rambler 50th Anniversary
Rally
Berrien Springs, MI |
.
There were over 1300 coaches gathered in the Fairgrounds, most with electric
& water hook-ups!
Below is an aerial view of part of the fairgrounds and I've pointed out
where we were. |
|
|
|
We
discovered tiny little kitties under our motor home the first official
day of the rally.
Unable to ignore their tiny cries, I crawled under the coach to discover
4 kittens abandoned by their Mom.
Next day I sat outside the hospitality center and tried to find a home
for them.
Thankfully, each kitty did find a good home after a couple of days. Dan
was quite happy that I didn't keep one!

 |
 |
 |
While
at the rally, we went to our very first 400 Club meeting for full time
RVer's.
Met some wonderful people, joined the group and we hope to see them on
& off as we travel. |

Aunt Bonnie
had us over for lunch and a look at some old family pictures identifying
relatives Dan couldn't.
Then she toured us to three cemeteries where family is buried.

Sadly, her
husband John passed away in March 2002, shortly after his brother Harold's
death in December 2001.
But, both Aunt Bonnie & Aunt Clara are doing well and visit or chat
with each other
often.
.......
|
Before
leaving the area, we got together with Lou & Pat so I could copy down
some of Dan's favorite recipes
from the Italian side of the family. She prepared quite a spread of delicious
food and I can see why
Dan wanted me to learn how to make them! Hopefully, I can do as good of
a job making it as Aunt Lou does.
