Then
on Friday
we went to Balboa Park
|
Thursday
April 1,2004
Dawn arrives for a visit and to help
with Jacob's birthday party.
 |
for
an art & floral
show at the art museum.
 |

Sat. April 3
With Sandy & Buzz down from MI for a visit, we had
a interesting tour
of JD's Coast Guard ship now in port in San Diego.
|
 |

Cute, adorable
Bongo seems to adjust well to their traveling military lifestyle.
In June, Megan & JD move to San Francisco where he has been stationed
next.
|
April
3rd
Jacob's birthday party day!
The day begins
with his Padres baseball game, what fun to watch the young players!
|
It's
party time! Baseball theme, of course, right down to the hotdogs. Dawn
was in charge of the popcorn machine.
Didn't Emily do a great job making his cake?.
 |
All
the boys lined up for the "baseball pinata" and
neighbor Tom took the opportunity to rest while he had a chance.
 |

April 6th
What a pleasant surprise to have Dan's cousin David Neuman & his wife
Sherree here from MI also.
They were visiting their son who was finishing up his Marine Corps boot
camp experience.
|
April
8th
Riley's
pre-school was having an Easter celebration, what a busy classroom.
I couldn't help but remember Aunt Lou & Glyneta teaching pre-school
in TX in the
early 1980's.
|
Then
later that day, NaNa & Grandpa Dan visited Jacob on his actual birthday.
Grampa got him a fun computerized game and NaNa watched him smile when she
gave him a guitar!
He's going to take after his PaPaw Steve and play for years to come.

|
April12th
Emily & Yale decided to take a quick get-away for a couple of days
so....
NaNa got to take the grandchildren to the dentist. I must say they were
a lot more excited about it than I ever am!
 |
Sister
had to check it out to see whether or not she wanted her teeth cleaned
next.
 |
She
happily opened wide and patiently waited for her bag of surprises.

|
April
27th
Riley's "4th" birthday.
Her party is scheduled for this coming week-end May 1st.
But, NaNa &
Grandpa had a few surprises for her! She was asleep when we got there
and soon woke up with a smile.
