During
our stay in San Diego, NaNa got to spend some wonderful days with
Olivia!
This was her first time at the beach, so of course she had to
try the sand....

Pick flowers, get the shells from her toes, chase the shore birds...and
then, of course, a bath!

We went to visit Barbara (Yale's Mom) in Escondido. She enjoyed
Olivia just as much as we did.

Olivia loves to read and PaPa Dan gets a cutet smile when he holds
Olivia.

I spent quite a bit of time helping Roberta & Pat fold hundreds
of their new Northern Rose boxes.
Their business is growing... they're even shipping beautiful porcelain
miniatures to Alaska!

Pat & Roberta removed a huge pine because the roots were coming
up through the concrete.
So, within a week, they had a beautiful newly landscaped front
yard with lots of xeroscaping
water saving plants and a new sculptured driveway!

Easter April 8, 2007
I stopped in to have Easter Dinner at the Handley's. What a crowd.
It was a delicious dinner and was nice to visit with Devon's family
again.

April 14- 17th, 2007
Our friend Cindy came to San Diego for a composting conference.
She stayed with us as we were in an RV park only 6 miles from
the conference center. At Point Loma, we visited the lightouse
museum and enjoyed the tide pools.
Cindy's at the top of the rouond staircase. Looking down is lilke
a snail shell.

Silly Dan got underneath his jacket so he could video us looking
at the sealife below.

Great to visit with you Cindy!

This is a restaurant called 94th Aero Squadron. 20 years ago in
April 1987 (almost to the day!)
Dan brought me here on our very first blind date!
We met friend Glenda, her Dad and her bother & sister-in-law
for a wonderful visit and delicious dinner.

April 28, 2007
Roberta & I visited the Chula Vista Nature Center.

Chula
Vista Nature Center
What a great place to go!
I recommend it to any visitors in the San Diego area. Beautiful
views, an interesting tale of a different era in San Diego.
A lovely small aquarium with jellyfish, sharks, rays, starfish,
tortoise, rehabilitated exotic birds and wonderful xeroscaping
along the southern Ca coast.

Since
we were leaving before both Laurel's & Olivia's birthdays,
we brought them their gifts to open the night before we left.
What's this? Oh
Boy, look at the goodies!
These are my favorites.....a family photo book......and my very
own flip phone that rings & talks!
(Now I don't have to grab Mommy's or Carmen's anymore!)

Hey Mom, would you hold my phone please while I ride on my horse?
Bye-Bye everyone, here I go! Whee.....

Laurel was happy with a set of "baby-friendly" coasters
(for some reason the absorbant stone ones kept cracking when they
got dropped)
and a pair of wooden bookends for her new work offfice at home.

We
left for Yuma AZ on May 2nd. Dan had his root canal, I got my
new prescription glasses
and tomorrow May 8th we begin our drive north to WA where
we're building a spec home on Ocean Shores. Here's
a link to a website about it:
WATERFRONT PROPERTY FOR
SALE! |

On another subject......
http://www.lennysloot.com
I've opened a retail site! Lenny's
Loot has some wonderful gifts from Northern Rose,
and other hand-made items made by friends & family. Have something
to sell on the site?
Or know someone who might want to have their creations added to
the site?
Email me and let me know! I'd love to see my list
of artists grow!
Aunt Lou, how about a few of your cuddly sock dolls?
