Jump to Christmas Day

December 2, 2204
Cibolo Nature Center

Bill Perry does a lot of volunteer work here trying to help preserve this part of the vanishing Texas wilderness.
It's a beautiful area and we enjoyed our walking tour on some of their trails.

On Friday December 3rd, we had them over for a Chicken Picatta dinner and another good visit.
Sure was fun to visit with my boss from Fish Richards, the first restaurant I worked at in the 1980's!

December 6, 2004
On our last night in the San Antonio area, we all went for a delicious Italian dinner at Macaroni's Bar & Grill.

On the way home, we stopped for Starbuck's coffee-to-go to enjoy with
a sugar-free chocolate cream pie that Brenda made!  Mmmmm...

A special "Thank-You" to the Smith Family for their gracious hospitality.

December 7, 2004
Padre Island National Seashore - Malaquite Beach Campground
Awesome.......What fun to 4-wheel drive down about 30 miles on the shoreline of the Gulf of Mexico!

All sorts of beautiful birds and even some Man-of-Wars to watch out for.

These cute signs are posted all over and believe me, the jack rabbits are prolific here!

Late at night, we enjoy relaxing in the hot tub & heated pool.

We drove to South Padre Island today. It was warm, sunny & a beautiful drive. Lots of shells to gather.
That night, carolers from the resort came by to sing to us!
