NaNa arrives in Oakland, CA to be with the awaiting Runyan family.
Jan 3rd, 2008
This is Tara's belly the day before Tristan was born. We actually had a chance to go to the movies that day!
Later that night, Laurel & Olivia arrive in Oakland. Laurel has a deposition in SF on Friday morning.

Tristan Bass Runyan enters our world at 9 lbs1 oz!

Of course, Julia had lots of questions like:
To the nurse......."What are you doing here with my brother?" And to Tara......."What is that Mommy?"

Marc is delighted that Mommy & his new son are healthy & happy. The family is now a foursome.

While Tara & Marc were at the hospital, and Laurel was in court,
NaNa was seriously challenged taking care of these two active young granddaughters!

Especially, as Oakland was experiencing the "storm of the decade" and we lost electricity most of the day.

Julia shows us how she can get dressed all by herself.

Sat. Jan 5, 2008
Before Tristan came home, Julia entertained Laurel, Olivia & I with her antics.

Late afternoon, Tristan comes home and already he's attached himself to Mom with a good, strong grip!

Julia gets a delivery...for a new "Big Sister"..a wonderful fresh fruit bouquet with a soft bear on top!
It's a gift from Tara's boss Steve & Judy Kazan.

Over the next week, everybody loves to hold a newborn.

One day I went to Gymnastics class with Julia & Tara. What a busy place that was!

Tristan loves his swing and it gives Mommy a nice break, too.

He wasn't too sure whether he liked taking his first bath..........But Julia sure loves it!

Jan & Steve invited us over for a delicious dinner.
They enjoyed playing with Julia and holding Tristan.

GrandMommy shows Julia how the Leap Pad stories work.
GrandDaddy Steve worked for Fisher Price back in the 70's and helped design these "Talk-to-Me" Books.
He's kept them in his attic all these years and they still work!

Tristan takes many trips out with us.
Julia loves being a big sister.

Jan. 27, 2008
Friends from Sacramento, Alex & Ashley and their 2 daughters, Eva & Lily came to visit.
Everybody colored and then Eva & Julia dressed up as pretty fairies.

Well, it's been raining pretty much most of the whole month of January so Julia was thrilled
when Mommy got her a bigger raincoat & a ladybug umbrella!

NaNa says:
"Rain, rain go away
Come again some other day"
