Laurel & Devon and Tara, Marc & Julia were still at the
campground so we had a good day of visiting.
Below are the cute trailers that they stayed in.

Ric & Roger came by for a nice dinner and a wonderful visit
befoer they left the area.

July 6, 2005
Lincoln, VT
We
left Limehurst and drove to Lincoln to spent some time visiting with Beth
& Owen.
We watched a beautiful sunset as we sat on the porch and we did fit pretty
good in their driveway!

Ned, Juno & David joined us for dinner the next night so Owen grilled
some delicious fish, steak & an assortment of vegetables.

Beth enjoyed David and I caught a good picture of their cat stalking a
critter.

We went to
visit Ellen & Greg in Shelburne the next night
and drove to Charlotte where we took the ferry to NY for dinner at the
Rudder Club.
Thanks Greg & Ellen for a wonderful evening!

Another evening,
Owen, Beth, Dan & I stopped by the Compton Farm & Studio in Bristol.
He & Chris are old college friends with Owen and Beth.
This night was the first firing of their huge new kilns.
They were enormous and Dan & I had tons of questions which Chris obligingly
answered.

Take a look at their works!

It poured out one night, so the next day, we walked across the street
to see
how much the river had swelled. I was amazed at how full and fast it was
going.
Owen has been working hard on their new house next to the river.
Lots of interior work has been done since our last visit. Beth's flowers
in her many gardens are gorgeous.

Thanks Owen & Beth for your hospitality and a wonderful visit!

Off to Enfield,NH to visit our friends, Janine & Wally. Wouldn't you
know, we drove onto the field
to park for a few days and immediately got stuck......really stuck. Thank
goodness for AAA!
Look at the rig that had to pull us out.
Well, needless to say, we decided to move to a nearby campground.
Janine, her neice (daughter) Julia & I drove into Boston one morning.
What a cool bridge this was.
We stopped to get a chair massage.....felt great after a day of walking.

Wally's
Dad was a race car buff also. This is one of the his cars from the 50's.
Wally is looking for anyone with information on it. He wants to re-build
it if it's still around.
This is the shop Walter Brown opened and Wally now has.
|
The
car show also had some civil war era re-enactments.
I think of my friend Mary Muckenhoupt from Chaplin, CT who is involved
in this lifestyle.

This woman really hooked Janine with her Old English speech!
Cooking "on the road" has certainly changed from
back then....I prefer what we have now-a-days!

And later, a parade.....It was fun to see a small town
parade. These 2 entrants
made me think of Elliot. This is an NH
Oriental Shriner Band? Where are the Orientals?

We met Janine's
grandson, Ryan & her cockatiel, Squeaky. Julia
& Ryan sure had fun in the pool. |
|
Janine
prepared an excellent BBQ and her son, Ryan, his wife Crystal and their
little cutie Taylor joined us.

Thank
You Janine, Wally & Julia for your hospitality and your friendship.
