HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY JULIA
What a cutie!
She started walking alone on my birthday Feb 19th. That was a wonderful gift for me!

Next week we are back on the road again, heading towards San Diego where we'll stay for 3 months.
Grand-daughter Lily, from Michigan, will be visiting us for the summer
and we'll finally get to meet our newest grand-daughter when she arrives in late May.

At noon, we left all the beautiful cardinals in Lillian and headed west!

Didn't take long to get into trouble...........Taking the scenic Rt 98 along the AL coast, we discovered the town of Fairhope was having a street party. Lots of traffic, parked cars everywhere, and not enough room to turn the corner!
The tow bar on the Jeep wouldn't come off because it was "tweaked". So with police help directing traffic, we slowly backed up enough to make it around the corner and get the heck out of there!
This is the "not so fun" part of driving such a big rig.

Sunday March 20, 2006
We arrived at the Escapees Rainbow Park in Livingston, TX.
A nice community with lots of other people who travel and live in RV's.

While there, we mostly drove around the area looking at different properties.

This one below was nice with 7 lots and right across from the lake.
It even included a home for squirrels! Not bad for $59,000.00.

Below is Paul from LandMasters.com This could be some good investment land.
They advertize on eBay.com......these are about $4,000 per lot. The development is pretty desolate still, though.

We saw some with houses, some with just land.
We have to look before we can decide what we're going to do!    Maybe fix up and re-sell?

On Wednesday, we stopped in San Antonio overnight
and Kevin & Brenda came by to visit us parked at the Walmart.
Last Thanksgiving we saw Sloane when he was just a pup!

Next stop was a park with a pretty view, Saddle Mountain RV Park in Tonopah, AZ.
Here we parked next to Bob & Marie, friends from the HR 400 Full-timers group and visited for a couple of days.

Judy trimmed Walt's hair, Bart said "Oh, that feels so good on my scalp, Judy"
but Deby had taken over without him knowing it! We all had a good laugh.

Dinner out at the local restaurant with Bart & Deby, Walt & Judy and Bob & Marie.
(Marie was taking the picture so I added her in!)

Sunday we enjoyed a BBQ at Bart & Deby's new home just down the road, in Buckeye, AZ.
"Thank You" Bart & Deby for a fun evening.

After dinner, we visited around their fire-pit to chat.

Monday, March 27, 2006
