Hi NaNa & PaPa ! You finally made it!
It was bedtime so we listened to Mommy read a story & kissed
Julia goodnight.

Sat. May 12, 2007
The Runyan's came to pick us up on their way to Palo Alto for Loretta's
Memorial Gathering.
Julia had some time for coloring with PaPa.

- 3/13/07
So
many friends of Loretta were there to remember her, some
with happiness, some with tears.
I won't name everyone, but Loretta's direct family line:
A
lunch date.

Loretta
would have enjoyed listening to this wonderful harpist while visiting
with her dear friends & family. How we all miss her
bubbly personality! |

Mother's Day |
 |
It
was such a pleasure to spend Mother's Day with my oldest
daughter, Tara, and her daughter, Julia.
As
I walked out into their back yard, this gorgeous iris caught
my eye and my heart as I reflected upon memories of the
beautiful iris gardens my own Mother tended. I feel blessed. |
|

We
went to Julia's music lessons that morning. What fun to see all
the youngsters playing
with scarves, instruments, singing songs, clapping hands &
feet. Even PaPa Dan had fun!

|
Then
we went for a walk along the Frog Trail to the Frog Park. More
fun for Julia!

Julia looks down to the swing below, then gets a surprise as someone's
daddy pushes his son up the tires!

Their backyard has taken on a life of it's own. Beautiful plants
and this kiwi is growing so big!
Marc plants another fern & gets wet fixing the sprinkler system.

|

PaPa Dan has intrigued Julia with the videos he
took of her on his cool telephone.

What a life, huh? NaNa can't resist making a bubble
hat on Julia at bathtime.

Then it's reading time and off to bed. "Night
Night" Julia, we love you.

Fish Lake Rogue River National
Forest
Friends Bob & Linda are camp hosts here....what
a lovely spot!
Oops.......we had a bit of a accident as we swung
into a site the night before ($11,700 worth) !
Dan was so upset, he wanted to crawl in a hole. But, accidents
happen to us all.

Here's the Stockton's Host site.
It's the only site in the park w/ water/elec &
sewer.
|
Lots
of wildlife around for us to enjoy.

The morning we left, the water was calm enough for us to go kayaking.
What a thrill for Leanne!
This mother goose was protecting her young, making sure I didn't
get too close.

There was snow on the other side of the lake and the views of the
surrounding mts was awesome.

Linda caught a couple of trout....look at Chico lick his chops!
Thanks Bob & Linda for my wonderful kayak experience and a good
visit.
May 18-20, 2007
A couple hours north, we stopped at the Harrisburg Monaco Facility
to get an estimate for repairs.
Mark & Cindy live nearby so we had an enjoyable weekend visit
with them.

Cindy turned & spread her compost & Mark built a nice fire
to keep us warm as we chatted and

Cindy hugs her "babies".

We left Harrisburg and headed towards Ocean Shores,
WA
This is the bridge crossing the Columbia River from OR into WA.
A pretty sight.
We found a wonderful deep pull-off on Rt.101 just as the sunset.
A nice quiet spot to boondock. |

Canal Dr NE
Ocean Shores, WA 98569
We made it to our property in Ocean Shores.
We're plugged into the rv h/ups we had installed and will call
this home for the next few months.
You can see how excited the brothers are! Chuck has been very
busy during our absence.
It's a 3 bdrm, with a vaulted ceiling in the open kitchen/dining/living
room area.
Here's a view from the living room door. and
the nice dock Chuck built on the canal.
Our first night there, this deer was grazing in the lot across
the street where the golf course is.
And here we are, facing the water.....plugged in to the rv hook-ups
we had installed. We'll have to move occasionally
for the construction crews, but that's OK. What a wonderful spot
to spend the summer!
We're hoping it sells before the end of the summer. Time will
tell. Wish us luck! |
Our
cell service is not too good here and Dan's been battling with
the satellite for days now.
Hopefully we'll have internet again very soon.......
