The
Nomadic Neuman's
November
2005

The first half of November was spent at the Monaco
facility getting some leak issues repaired on our motorhome.
Autumn colors were awesome there, if fact, much better than the
colors in the New England area this year. |

At 4:30 am, we got an emergency call from Jeff's mother saying
he was in the Petosky MI Hospital ICU.
Apparently someone beat him up (don't know who as yet) and he
was indeed in very serious condition.
Luckily, we were fairly close in Indiana so we immediately got
ready, left our coach at Monaco and headed to northern MI to be
with him. He had blood on his brain from the head trauma and was
under constant observation.
After surgery to repair his right eye socket with mesh and putting
2 titanium plates to hold up his crushed cheek bones, he progressed
well enough to be released 6 days later. Although he still needs
a 6-8 week recovery for the head trauma.

While staying at the "Hospitality House" right across
the street from the hospital, we were able to have a short but
very sweet visit with grand-daughter, Lily". NaNa got to
take her shopping for some winter things and a few toys.
Early Christmas presents which she thoroughly enjoyed! Popsicle
sticks, glue & colored balls create lots of things!
And Dan got a kick out of her new "removable heads"
Bratz dolls! Below is her Mom, Danyelle.

Friday am we left Petosky and headed south in a blizzard.

After picking up our coach, we headed to Stevensville, MI to park
at Dan's sister's
while I flew out to Idaho for a visit with my three girls at Emily's
new home in Coeur d'Alene.

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
I flew in from Chicago, IL, Tara, Marc & Julia from Oakland,
CA and Laurel & Devon from San Diego, CA
Emily & Yale have a lovely home which borders the National
Forest. A great place for their children to grow up.

Animal life is everywhere. Thanksgiving morning we saw these wild
turkeys and deer are a common front yard sight.

Laurel, Emily and I canoed across the pond and gathered lots of
pretty birch bark for projects.

HAPPY
NEWS
Laurel & Devon are expecting their 1st baby the end of May/beginning
June 2006
 |
Little Julia was once again always "cute as a button".
Marc & Tara are such good parents.
Marc always with his arms open wide for his little girl.
 |
As
you might expect, we all had our laptops and checked our mail
regularly.
|
The
upstairs room was always busy with the big screen TV, the fooze
ball and the pool table.

Thanksgiving
Day

NaNa Leanne made Great Grandma Edith's infamous Cinnamon Rolls
much to everyone's delight.
The roasting turkey aroma filled the house as it baked. The children
played, the adults visited.

HAPPY "36" BIRTHDAY STEVE
!
Betsy made "guadalupe pie" for Steve's 36th birthday.
Their children: Jordan, Cameron & Kendall helped blow out
the candles.

We went for a cruise to the "North Pole" on Lake Coeur
d'Alene.
Twas a chilly ride, but fun and the kids loved seeing Santa &
Mrs. Claus.

Then it snowed. Hurray, it is so beautiful to see that first snowfall!
It
was a good day for the girls to make springerle cookies and to sew.
Jacob
couldn't wait to get the paper and Riley jumped with joy. But....getting
them to wear snow gear was a bit of a trial that first day of school
after the snow. One day with soaked feet & cold legs cured that!
