The Nomadic Neuman's
October 2005

After discovering some water leaks in our motor-home, we left Nova Scotia and headed towards drier climate.
The Maine fall colors were close to peaking and beautiful.

October 7-18, 2005
We stayed, worked & visited with NH friends Janine & Wally in Enfield.
Janine's neice Julia and her friend Brandy stopped in to visit regularly .

Wally was fabricating this year's "Dartmouth Formula Racing Car"
for Dartmouth's Thayer School of Engineering. The students drew up the blueprints and Wally built the chassis.
Grandson Ryan loved posing next to a pint-sized race car in the shop!

VT colors on a rainy day.
After visiting Mom, Dad & Glyneta at the cemetery,
we joined our VT kin with a delicious pot luck and a wonderful visit.
Woody & Mary leave for Alabama October 18th.

One afternoon, Dan & I looked at some promising property along Stoney Brook in Northfield, VT.
Nearby covered bridge, rushing waters & wildlife certainly got us excited,
but we later discovered the land was too wet and un-perkable.

Sunday October 16, 2005
Wally & Janine treated us to a fun train ride on the Green Mountain Train.
We rode from Bellows Falls to Chester, NH.

The views were awesome and the train ride soothing. It was Wally's 1st train ride!
We even enjoyed walking from one end of the train to the other!

Beautiful colored glass, dark woods, the ticketmen
and even a coal stove for heat added to the charm of the old train.

Julia is getting her license. How excited she is...especially because she's already bought her own car!
I went driving with her to help her finish her required hours for driver's ed.
I really enjoyed riding & chatting with her and we saw more wild turkeys foraging at the local dirt track.

Janine's bird "Squeaky" has quite a personality.
I spotted some cute Halloween decorations while driving with Julia!

We've left NH and headed to Indiana for some much needed repair on out motor home.
