We made homebase in Glen Margaret, a central location
and close to Halifax.
Wayside RV Park gave us a wonderful spot overlooking Margaret's Bay.
Above is a mink I saw running through the rocks at Peggy's Cove!
We had a serene view of Margaret Bay from our coach.
We drove
into Halifax on Saturday the 24th
The citadel was very interesting, they've preserved a wonderful
bit of history there.
All wool period uniforms......must've been scratchy & hot. The
womens had so many layers on, also!
City & Bay view from the top of the wall. You can see the other
island where a second fort is.
Do
you think Dan might have a bit of Scot in him? While shopping he
found a matching kilt!
Across
the bay in Dartmouth, we found a good spot for a Halifax city skyline
photo.
On
the way home from Halifax, we made it to Peggy's Cove right after
the sun set.
We decided to come back during daylight hours as it was such a beautiful
spot.
This quaint village filled with artists is one of the most photographed
in Nova Scotia.
The lighthouse is a real Post Office!
Windy,
wild & rocky.
DeGarthe Gallery Stone Carvings & Gallery in town across from
the Visitor's Center.
We
stopped to visit this tragic event's memorial on the way from Peggy's
Cove.
